He knows...
This was inspired by an argument between my dad and I. While I'm aware that summers are much worse in other places of the world, for me, Oklahoma humidity is my personal hell. The muggy weather clings to everything and makes you feel like you weigh ten lbs heavier while making it feel fifteen degrees hotter. Anyway, my mum is always reluctant to turn on the AC and usually threatens to maim her own family if we touch it. This year is no exception. So, me and dad kinda stood there in front of the thermostat, arguing who was going to lose a limb to save the rest of the household.
I swear, the woman just knows when you press the button. It gives off a high pitch note, but you have to be standing directly in front of it to hear it. But she somehow knows whenever anybody tries to change it so much as a degree away from the set temp.
